Hi Kashyap,
If you meet the admission criteria you can get admissions. However, since its a three year degree course you may not be eligible for most universities. So, check the university websites for the different entry requirements and prepare accordingly. Check other countries as well like Aus, NZ, UK etc where they accept 3-year degree.

You have 2 major options:-
1. Complete +2 and take ICAR AIEEA entrance exam in which you can also take one option out of of biotech and foodtech.
2. Complete +2 with good marks and apply for individual agriculture colleges.

Yes, if you are getting such an opportunity, grab it with both hands. Both of these streams are nice but if you have to choose one, I think you should go for bioinformatics because of its scope. But, first kindly confirm what was your percentage in B.Sc in life sciences?
