B.Tech Eligibility

Eligitibilty criteria for B.E. / B.Tech Admissions: All candidates who seek admission in B.E. / B.Tech courses under Rural Engineering College may apply if they have passed 10 + 2 examination or equivalent from a recognised board in which he/she must have Physics, Chemistry and Math's as compulsory subjects.
Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of reserved categories).
Entrance Exam: Admission usually takes place based on marks obtained in entrance examination conducted at the state level, such as MHT CET or national level exams, like JEE Main.
Minimum Age: The candidate should have completed at least 17 years of age by the end of the year they opt for admission.
Candidates should also have any other requirement placed by the institution or affiliating university.

Eligibility for admission in B.E./B.Tech at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology is: 45% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology. Candidates must have an appearance in the KCET/COMEDK/JEE Main exams. The minimum ranks required for admission into the college are: KCET - rank between 50,000-70,000, COMEDK - rank between 50,000-80,000, JEE Main - rank between 50,000-100,000. Admissions are made on lateral entry basis to the 2nd year with 45% in 3-year Diploma or equivalent with Mathematics. Reservation is made based on government guidelines. Total intake is for 840 seats spread across 8 branches.
