To be eligible for a B.Tech programme at the University of Engineering and Management (UEM) Kolkata, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Have passed Class 10 and Class 12 examinations with a minimum of 70% aggregate
  2. Have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in Class 12
  3. Have a valid score in one of the following entrance exams: GATE, IEMJEE, or WBUT PGET

The eligibility criteria are the same for all B.Tech specializations offered at UEM Kolkata. The selection process for B.Tech admission is based on the entrance exam scores and past academic scores.

The eligibility criteria for admission to any one of the programs in Engineering is a minimum aggregate of 60% or secures 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths in class XII. The admission shall be made on the All-India Rank (AIR) of JEE Main-2024. The cutoff rank for different branches may vary depending on the availability of seats and the number of applicants.

The eligibility criteria for B.Tech at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Vellore are as follows:
Class 12: Candidates must have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) as the main subjects.

Candidates must have a minimum of 45% in Class 12 with PCM stream. CT Institute of Technology Jalandhar offers direct admission to BTech. Although it does accept JEE Main score for admission, that is only optional. You can definitely get admission provided you fulfill the other entry requirements. The ultimate decision of admission is with the institute, basis the document submission and first-come-first serve basis.

For admission to BTech at MCKV, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria, i.e., to pass Class 12 with 45% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Applications / Technical Vocational subjects (in both theory and practical) (40% aggregate for reserved category) and Class 12 with 30% aggregate in English from a recognised board. The selection is based in the qualifying score of entrance exams such as JEE Main or WBJEE.

The eligibility criteria for B.Tech at MIT College of Railway Engineering and Research are as follows:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Mathematics as a compulsory subject
Minimum Marks: Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination (40% for candidates belonging to backward class categories and persons with disabilities from Maharashtra State only)
