Yes you are eligible for VJTI for B.Tech lateral admission. Because the number of seats for B.Tech lateral are very limited so cutoff can goes higher above 85%. So chances of admission can be moderate here.

Please write about the full name of course you have completed from the Institute of Automotive Engineers, Mylapore. However in Tamil Nadu most of the B.E. /B.Tech admissions are based on the marks obtained in the 12th through the TNEA counselling conducted by Anna University. Or through lateral entry for Diploma engineers.

 For B.Tech admission, you must be Pass in Class XII or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with pass in Mathematics, Physics, English and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology or Computer Science.

Yes, you are eligible. They will let you know what scholarship is applicable for you on the basis of score you obtained.
The more you score the more scholarship you get.
For further details, you can personally call on the toll free number of the university. They will provide you with the information further regarding the exact amount of scholarship on the marks obtained.
Also, once selected take admission within the phase, as from the next phase the scholarship amount might decrease.
