On Comparisons
Q:   Is VJTI Mumbai best in Mumbai?
A:

No, VJTI can't be said as a best college. One of the best and the oldest engineering schools in Mumbai and Maharashtra is VJTI Mumbai. It is a very well-known engineering education institution.Along with ICT Mumbai and SPCE Mumbai, it is typically ranked in the top three engineering colleges in Mumbai.
Its skilled faculty, well-equipped campus, solid industry ties, and steady performance in placements and academics are some of its main advantages.Nonetheless, the majority of ranking surveys, including NIRF, The Week, Outlook, and others, place ICT Mumbai marginally higher than VJTI Mumbai. When it comes to placements, Tata, L&T, IBM, Accenture, HSBC, and other companies are among the top recruiters at VJTI.But, because of these advantages anyone can't declare it as a best college, as there are lot of colleges better than this in Mumbai.

Q:   Is VJTI Mumbai more expensive than Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai?
A:

VJTI Mumbai and Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai might have different fee structures for their various programs, including B.Tech or other courses.

In general, both institutions are prestigious in their respective fields and might have varying fee structures based on the specific programs, categories of admission, and other factors.

To determine which institution is comparatively more expensive, it's essential to compare the fee structures for the specific programs you're interested in at both VJTI Mumbai and ICT Mumbai. I recommend visiting their official websites or contacting the respective institutions directly for the most current and detailed information regarding the fees for the programs you wish to pursue. This will help you make a more informed decision about the comparative costs between the two institutions.

Q:   Which is affordable: IIT Bombay or VJTI Mumbai for BTech?
A:

Both IIT Bombay and VJTI are government institutes offering BTech in Mumbai. The fee of both the colleges is affordable when compared with private institutes. Below is BTech fee comparison between the two institutes:

Engineering Colleges in Mumbai

Fee

IIT BombayINR 8 lakh
VJTI Mumbai BTech

INR 60,000 - INR 2.3 lakh

Q:   Is M.Tech at VJTI Mumbai better than Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai?
A:

ICT Mumbai focuses on chemical Science and technology, whereas VJTI Mumbai is primarily an engineering and technology institute.VJTI Mumbai is a better option for M.Tech in core engineering fields like computer science, information technology, electronics, etc. These streams are not available at ICT Mumbai.ICT Mumbai is more reputable for specializations in the chemical, biochemical, and pharmaceutical sciences. There are no M.Tech programs in these fields at VJTI.Due to the strong demand for engineers, VJTI Mumbai slightly outperforms other institutions in terms of placements and average salaries. However, ICT Mumbai also draws quality employers.Whereas the course curriculum at VJTI Mumbai combines theory and practical application, that at ICT Mumbai is more research-focused.
According to rankings, VJTI is ranked higher among engineering colleges, while ICT Mumbai is ranked higher among chemical and pharmaceutical institutes. So, definitely VJTI is better.

Q:   Which college is more affordable for BTech course among VIT Pune and VJTI Mumbai?
A:

The total tuition fee for the BTech course at VJTI Mumbai ranges from INR 60,000 to INR 2.3 lakh. On the other hand, the total tuition fee for BTech at VIT Pune ranges from INR 4.3 Lacs to INR 6.2 lakh. Therefore, it can be explicitly seen that the tuition fee for BTech at VJTI Mumbai is more affordable than at VIT Pune. However, fee structure is only one component that candidates can consider while comparing the colleges/universities. But there are several other factors that can be considered while comparing the colleges, such as placement packages, location, seats, cutoffs, etc.

Review of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute - VJTI Mumbai.
Placements: Top-class companies visit VJTI for placements. Multinational companies like Wipro, Vista, L&T, Tata, etc., visit the college every year for placements. A maximum of students get placements. To get placements, students should have a pointer above 7.5 so that students can give interviews with companies. Students get placed but only on their average score. They provide internships in good companies and help us to get the best for their future job. We don't have to attend the college in 3rd year if we manage to get an internship.
Infrastructure: The college is the topmost college. It has a nice campus and nice teachers. There is a good positive vibe for students. It is a government college, so it has its own hostel and mess. The fee for the hostel is Rs. 12,000 for a year with mess and that is much less according to other hostels in Mumbai.
Faculty: It is better than any other college. It is innovative and flexible. Some of the old faculty members have real wisdom and go very deep into the subject. They don't believe in finishing the syllabus but whatever they teach is taught in full depth. Innovative assignments aligned with the teaching make us use that knowledge and practice. The exam structure is simple. We have an MS semester test for 40 marks, which is converted to 20 marks, and the end-semester test is for 100 marks which are converted to 60 marks, and the remaining 20 marks are given on assignments. The course is well-updated. The faculty members are very friendly and ready for any difficulties faced by the students to solve them. They give proper guidance to students. The course syllabus is properly balanced during the semester.

Do not take admission in this college.
Placements: About 70% of students were placed, and the placement percentage depended on the branch of study. The lowest salary package was 6 LPA, the highest was 36 LPA, and the average was 15 LPA. Only 4 or 5 companies recruited for my course, and most students were placed in software-based companies like Texas Instruments. Technical roles were offered mostly for B.Tech courses, but sometimes management roles were available.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for the course/department, such as Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library, are very poor. The quality of the facilities in the hostel, the quality of the food available in the mess and canteen, the medical facilities, and the sports and games are all very poor.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, but most of them had poor knowledge of the subject matter. The syllabus was outdated, but the students were industry-ready due to their own hard work and persistence. The placement rate was good, but the papers for some subjects were very difficult and application-based. Only two or three subjects had faculty with PhD degrees; the others were not qualified. The pass percentage was 40%.

VJTI Mumbai is the best college in Mumbai after IIT Bombay.
Placements: According to seniors, placements are quite good at our college. In fact, the average package for CS and IT branches is 22 LPA. The overall placement rate across all branches ranges from 80-90%, with an average package of 13 LPA. The VJTI TPO is doing a good job for student placements.
Infrastructure: Talking about infrastructure, it is below average, but they are doing their best to improve it. They are making sure that every classroom and labs have basic amenities. The canteen is quite affordable, but do not provide much medical facilities.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Most of them are from top universities and institutes. The exams conducted by the college are of moderate level. The passing marks depend on the topper’s marks, as the college has opted for relative grading. Overall, the course curriculum is relevant.

I like environment of campus. Campus is 16 acres.
Placements: There is a variety of companies that provide internships and the salary packages provided by ECPL, Infosys, and many other reputed companies help students develop knowledge and prepare for their future of students. 6th-semester students are eligible for campus selection and internships are given to them by many upcoming companies like ECPL, Infosys, HCL, and other companies for various students which help them financially.
Infrastructure: Rooms are very quiet enough not saying that they are best. The food of mess is very good as compared to other college's mess. The process for registration of hostel is through your MHT CET scorecard.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good. They ensure safety. They are very encouraging and positive. They motivate students during exams and tough times. Each student is given a separate place, and all items are provided by giving study holidays. I chose this because they have placement opportunities.
Other: There are many communities like Technovanza for making techno projects and bots. Pratibimb and Rangwardan for organizing fests and other cultural activities. There is enthusiasm for organizing sports tournaments and events.

Good for placements; I really recommend it for placement.
Placements: Percentage of placement is around 80 to 87. The average package for Electronics is 8 to 10 LPA. To get placed easily, students must maintain a record of 7.5 and above. As Electronics is a core branch, students have many options to shift to particular courses, unlike Data Science and other courses.
Infrastructure: Food available in the canteen is good. The availability of hostels is limited, meaning not everyone can get a hostel. Hostel allotment is done on a merit basis, and candidates from outside Mumbai University are given preference. There are various communities in the college, so first-year students must explore them.
Faculty: The first semester is a little difficult, so studying diligently for it is essential; the rest of the semesters are easier. There is also a re-exam for students who fail a subject, so they don't get a KT in the first semester. Many co-curricular subjects hold marks, so don’t bunk them.
