It is beyond my comprehension that one can do UG in mechanical and PG in electrical branch of engineering. As far as I know, it is not possible at least in any AICTE approved college.
secondly, after doing UG and PG in engineering, one should pursue Ph.D. in engineering or technology. In India, Quantum or Atomic Physics both do not fall under these categories and they come under science category. Therefore, even if somebody does so he would receive Ph.D. (science) not Ph.D. (engineering)

To add on, after B.Tech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, there are many job opportunities available.
* Engineers are in demand in electricity boards, atomic power plants, hydroelectric power plants, thermal power plants robotics, bio-medical electronics, power corporations, hydro-electricity sector, production plants, natural gas plants, petroleum, steel and chemical plants.

After B.Tech in Computer Science, you have two options :
1) You may continue to study further.
2) You may start working.
1) If you wish to study first, then below are the details :
- You may opt for M.Tech
- You may pursue MBA
- You may even plan to work and gain work experience of a year or so to decide whether to go with the technical course (M.Tech) or management course (MBA).
2) If you wish to work first, then below are the job prospects after B.Tech Computer Science :

To add on, if you have interest in interior design then you must opt for it.
Below are the job areas where you can find employment after completing Interior Design course :
-architectural firms with architects, builders,
-public works department,
-hotel and resort chains,
-hospitals,
-town planning bureau,

-studios and theaters and exhibition organizers.

After B.Tech, you may opt for :
* M.Tech to study the technical side.
OR
* MBA if you wish to move career towards management line.
* Further, you may opt for short term specialized courses related to the field.
* Another option will be, you may plan to work in private or public sector industries of various types. After gaining a valuable work experience of a year or two you may finally get a clear picture about your interest area, whether to go with M.Tech or MBA.
