The BTech Agricultural Engineering syllabus is not similar for all colleges and universities in India. Every institution has a certain set of curriculum guidelines that they follow and set the syllabus in that manner. But, the general topics covered in Agricultural Engineering classes are usually the same.
Some important concepts include agricultural processes in industries, farm machinery, surveying methods, soil investigation, tools and control of machinery, horticulture and field crops. You will get a good hang of the field after you pursue a BTech degree course in this field that covers both theoretical as well technical aspects.

It is not compulsory for you to give an entrance exam for admission to Agricultural Engineering courses after 12th. Several reputed colleges and universities in India also admit students on the basis of the marks secured by them in Class 12 board exams. They usually take further assessment rounds like PI and GD in such cases.
You can work hard for your board examination, score excellent marks, and apply to Agriculture Engineering colleges that offer merit-based admissions. You must check out for such colleges well in advance and then decide accordingly.
