Minimum qualification for UPSC Prelims exam: The candidate must hold a degree from Government recognised Universities or possess an equivalent qualification. Candidates who are in their final year or awaiting results are also eligible to appear for UPSC preliminary Examination. All such candidates who are likely to appear for IAS exams must produce proof of having passed the said examination along with the application for the main IAS examination. So from above you will be eligible for UPSC Civil Services Prelims exam during the final semester of your B.Tech course.

Doing distance B.Tech is not valid as per UGC guidelines, So please avoid to do this. B.Tech lateral, AMIE or part time. Regular B.Tech are the best available options.

Yes, you are eligible for the M.Des Furniture & Interior Design course of NID. But not eligible for Master's in Design in Interior Design of CEPT University Ahmedabad. Because of this required Bachelors's Degree (Four Years or More) in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or Product Design. So the eligibility criteria can be different for colleges so write the college name for a better response.
