There was 100% placement. Mainly, Cognizant, Infosys and Wipro came for recruitment. Many of us received 3 to 4 offers. As far as I remember, there were others like Ericson, Capgemini, Acclaris and Sankalp Semiconductors. The salary range was 3 to 5 LPA. Many students went for MS, MBA, M.Tech, after getting placed or after working for 2 to 3 years. Then the batch size increased and the multiple offers stopped. It makes sense that way too, one IT company is very similar to another IT company.

Many of the engineering colleges in India take admission on the basis of JEE score.
It is not necessary. There are many exams like COMEDK, state level exams like UPSEE,VIT .
But most of government institutions are accepting JEE score only. And, most of good private college too.

Yes, it is correct that DCE (now DTU) used to give University of Delhi's B.Tech degree, but now it is a state university. Same is the case with Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology. So, those colleges will also give you B.Sc Degree. But, there is a center in University of Delhi that is providing B.Tech course.
