The eligibility criteria for this course require 10+2, with Physics Chemistry and Biology from any recognised board. Where as B.Tech in Bioinformatics is a four-year engineering course in bioinformatics, it is a branch in which one goes through the curriculum that includes the relation between the biological aspects, information technology, and computer Science. It is one of the branches of engineering that includes less of the production and development and more of the research. Potential students planning to pursue B.Tech in Bioinformatics needs to have an understanding of the basics in Physics Chemistry Biology and Maths. A student must have an interest in the genetics that is taught in the lower class since the curriculum of bioinformatics starts with the basics of biotechnology and genetics. One should also have a basic understanding in Biomolecules and biochemistry.
