Best hostel life, very big to explore. Average placement, a lot of facilities for sports and study.
Placements: I say 60% of students are placed with a median salary of 10 LPA - 16 LPA in computer engineering and IT. The companies that come for recruitment are Bharat Electronics Limited, Escorts Pvt Ltd, Reliance Retail, Cisco, TCS, ITC, and Accenture.
Infrastructure: There are 8 different colleges at this university you get a lot of exposure. Here you get all facilities for studying, you get the biggest library in India's colleges. Then you have CCF lab where you get MAC and Windows for studying in your free hours. Hostel rooms are old but new hostel has been constructed. For each year the hostels are different for freshers. The room will be shared by 3 students, in 2nd there are 2 students and in 3rd and final year, it will consist of a single person. The mess food is good, sometimes tasty.
Faculty: Here, the curriculum is very much influenced by foreign college policies as example, you have to achieve 50% marks in each subject to pass instead of 33%. There is no dress code for classes. Teachers here are very educated and masters of their fields. They are very supportive, it's on you to how to use them. Semester exams are tough because of 50% criteria.

Food Technology College.
Placements: 4-5 students were placed, and a total of 28 students were in the class. The highest package was 5-6 LPA. The companies that were recruited were ITC, KLA, and Adani Wilmar. Internships were offered by Parle and Britannia. The roles in the course included quality officer, production officer, lab attendant, food technologist, and quality executive.
Infrastructure: Labs were the best of all. Classrooms were also good, and our college had the biggest library in Uttarakhand. The food was good, the rooms were good, and I had good friends. The hostel staff were also good. Every year, the university sponsored an athletic meet, and students from every college and hostel participated in the event.
Faculty: Professors were well-qualified and knowledgeable. Every semester was 4-5 months and a 5.0 CGPA was the passing percentage for every subject. There were 2 pre-finals and 1 lab final for each subject. Over the course of four years, we had more than 60 subjects, and every subject was good for food technologies.
Other: I chose this course because it sounds good, and after that, there are many opportunities in the food industry.

Versatile course with good opportunities, but needs more industry exposure.
Placements: According to me, there are only a few students who can get more than a 9CGPA in the B.Tech. The college placement is not that good.
Infrastructure: Being part of ECE department, we have access to well-equipped laboratories such as VLSI lab. Classrooms are not good enough and there is no Wi-Fi connectivity in the department. Hostel infrastructure is decent, with single, double, and triple sharing rooms, depending on the year of study.
Faculty: Teachers in the ECE department are almost temporary and only some professors are permanent. However, the teaching quality varied from professor to professor. While some delivered engaging and interactive, others relied more on traditional teaching methods. Professors have a personal beef with students according to their living style and other things. Faculty members does not support you for any of the activities.

College of Technology, Pantnagar.
Placements: 60 students are placed every year in Agricultural Engineering. The highest package offered in our course is 6 LPA, and the minimum package offered is 3 LPA. 20-30% of students get college placement and internships from the college itself.
Infrastructure: Labs are great in the college and the overall infrastructure of the college is quite great. There is a huge university library, that is open from morning 8 AM to 7 PM every day except on Sundays or on national holidays. Classroom are also spacious, but there is a blackboard in most of the classrooms, and a few of them are smart classrooms.
Faculty: All the teachers here are well-qualified and helpful in nature. The teaching quality is just average. Course curriculum was very hectic at my time, but the course curriculum has changed from the past year according to the new education policy that was from the last year.
Other: Pantnagar is one of the most famous government colleges in India and it is also famous worldwide as it is the number one college for agriculture in Asia. This was the first reason to opt for this college.

Not so good placements in college so dissatisfied.
Placements: Nearly 43% of the students are placed. The highest and the lowest packages are 6 and 3 lacs per annum, Larsen and Toubro and Indian Tobacco Company (ITC) are the top recruiting companies for the course. Around 20% are placed in ITC and 1% are placed in the Bureau of Indian Standards. The graduate engineer trainee is the role offered in the course.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, good labs, Wi-Fi connectivity, classrooms, and a library. Normal quality of food in the mess, and sports and medical facilities are also good. Generally, the food quality and variety can be improved according. The taste in food and extra serving.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful towards studies and qualified and knowledgeable in their respective domains. The curriculum is not that relevant semester exams are generally easy previous year's questions are game changers and the pass percentage is more than 50%.

I am dissatisfied with the placements.
Placements: The placement percentage in my college is below average because I am currently in my last semester, and so far. Only 7 out of 66 students in the mechanical engineering stream have been placed. The internship opportunities are also very average, and the top roles are not specified in my college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in my college is good in some areas, such as the library and the stadium, which are excellent. Facilities available include Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and smart classes in every classroom. However, the hostel quality is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and experienced, but they are not very helpful in some aspects, such as assigning too many tasks during crucial exam periods. The course curriculum lacks practical applications, semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and grading is strict, following an absolute marking system.
Other: I am interested in mechanical engineering because I am curious to learn about mechanical mechanisms, such as IC engines, compressors, and turbine concepts. I want to improve the teaching quality in my college. The events and fests are not very good.

The GBPUAT Cutoff is based on the total number of applicants who appear for the exam. The difficulty level of the exam and the final round is merit-based. The merit list of the GBPUST exam is based on the total marks scored by students.

Yes, there is reservation for the students having domicile of Uttarakhand state. Almost 50% of the total available seats are reserved for the state students. Further, the 50% of the seats are given to the students belonging from other states.
