Hi Swami,
The requirement of certificates/degree or qualification of any sort entirely depends on the profile & industry that you wish to pursue.
The basic eligibility in the tourism industry at large is at least a graduation in any field.
In some cases one needs to have some qualification to be able to fulfill one' job responsibilities and increase chances of selection such as:
-Reservation Agent-needs qualification with knowledge of software
-Chef- needs qualification with knowledge of various kitchen procedures & cooking method etc

Yes you do require a degree. Although It's possible to work your way up but aspiring chefs benefit greatly from formal training. Some culinary schools or college cooking departments offer 3-4 year degrees such as a Bachelor of Professional Studies in culinary arts; some grant various associate degrees in cooking geared toward those who want to finish their training faster or who already have college degrees in other areas.

Hi kareena,
There are various institutes offering hotel management course at various level such as: Diploma Degree Post graduation/Masters All courses have there respective scope ,acceptance , duration and fee structure. Ideally for a kick start of a career in HM, the basic requirement is a degree, that is generally of 3-4 years duration.
The fees ranges between Rs 2lacs to Rs15lacs, depending on the institutes and value addition offered.

Hi Anchal,
You can not pursue two regular degree at the same time , to pursue two degrees at the same time, you need to opt for one degree through regular mode and the other degree through distance mode
