With a NEET score of 504, it might be tough to get admission into a government college for BAMS. Cut-off marks for BAMS in 2024 are around 720-164 for the general category and 161-127 for the reserved classes. Your score is lower than the expected cut-offs of most government colleges, as those require more than that because of competitive demand. But certain state quotas and minority status can be of some benefit, so it is best to inquire about individual college cut-offs and engage in state-level counseling for possible opportunities.

The NEET cut off for BAMS at any governmnt colleges is:

  •  For the general category the cut off is 600+,
  • For OBC 590+,
  • For SC and ST 300+

The cut off varies every year due to the paper structure and number of applicants. For example, in 2023 NEET cut off was 550+ for the general category which increased to 600+ in 2024 due to very high competition.

With 254 marks in NEET, you can get admission in BAMS or BHMS if you belong to the EWS category. You only have chances of getting admission in a private collge because government seats are highly competive due to low seats intake. For the EWS category, the NEET cut-off is generally considered to be around 162 marks (50th percentile), and as your score is more than this, you'll not face any problem in getting admission in BAMS or BHMS. You can use Shiksha's college predictor to get a list of expected colleges.
