BAU - Birsa Agricultural University

There are many cultural events occur in BIRSA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY throughout the year, like Saraswati Puja, Holi Milan Samaroh, Sarhul, Foundation Day, Annual Sports Meet, Agro Tech Kisan Mela, Diwali Party, Christmas Gathering.

Despite of these events many sports related activity like Volley ball match, basketball match, badminton competition, etc. as well as academic related activity like quiz competition, elocution competition, poster making, dance competition, slogan writing etc. always use to happen in BIRSA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY

Since we have several colleges that come under Birsa Agricultural University like Ranchi Veterinary College, Ranchi Agricultural College, College of Forestry, Agricultural Engineering College and various other colleges. So the total numbers may vary accordingly and to give an exact number would be a challenging task.  However a total of approximately 15000 students are currently studying at BAU.

There are several mess available at our college.

Quality of which may vary depending upon the management available there.

Overall proper food is provided in every mess and quality of food may vary from mess to mess which mainly depends on the management available there.

So mess can be considered good with decent quality food provided.

Faculty members are highly regarded, possessing extensive knowledge and expertise in their respective fields.

The teaching methodology provides an exceptional learning experience. The inclusion of practical components alongside theoretical instruction greatly enhances mastery of the subject matter. The teachers exhibit both cooperative and profound understanding of their subjects.

Overall Academics and teaching enviroment is a good in the college with faculty being well qualified and supportive.

In the context of Birsa Agricultural University, failing the internal exams has specific consequences. Students who do not pass these exams are not permitted to take the external exams and must wait for the next semester to retake the exam by applying for a back paper. Additionally, failing the internal exams may result in being placed on academic probation, where their academic progress is closely monitored. It is essential for students to prioritize their internal exams as they significantly impact their final grade.

To calculate the CGPA at BAU, students can follow these steps:

Add the grade points earned in the five main subjects.
Divide the sum by 5 to obtain the CGPA.
This grading system is commonly followed by many schools and colleges to assess a student's overall performance in a given academic term. The CGPA provides a consolidated measure of a student's performance, considering the grade points obtained in all subjects.

If one misses an internal exam at Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi due to some genuine reasons. They can write an application to the Dean and the concerned professor for re- examination. If your issues are genuine enough, then you may take the re- examination of the concerned subject.

BAU strives to offer high quality education  at an affordable price with particular focus on the overall development of the students.
