The following is the selection process at Birsa Agricultural University Ranchi:-

1. First of all an application form along with all necessary details like entrance exam score, 12 th score etc. needs to be filled by the students. The application fees also needs to be deposited along with the application form. 
2. After submission of application form, final cutoff will be released and student will be called to the campus for further steps like fee deposition, document verification etc. 
3. After all the steps, final admission steps will take place like Coucelling etc. and students will be given the final admission. 

The minimum CAT score which will be required to take admission will depend upon the number of seats which will be available for admission and cutoff will be released accordingly. 

Eligibility Criteria for BAU MBA Agri Business Admission 

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Horticulture, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Home Science, Fisheries, Biotechnology, Biological Science & Food Processing/Technology will be eligible for the course. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination may apply but completion of degree is required before Group Discussion and interview. Candidates of SC & ST categories with 55% marks and candidates of all other categories with 60 % marks are eligible. Candidates with good CAT score will be considered and be exempted from the written test.

Seats and Reservation Policy:

• There are 40 seats in MBA (Agribusiness) Post graduate degree programme. Out of which 50% seats are reserved for the residents of Jharkhand. Reservation policy of the state government shall be applicable.

Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi was inaugurated by Late Smt. Indira Gandhi former Prime Minister of India on June 26, 1981. Admission to different undergraduate programmes is done through bifold procedure. 15% of total seats are filled by a Combined Competitive Entrance Examination conducted by I.C.A.R. V.C.I. at All India level and 85% of the total seats are filled by Jharkhand Combined Competitive Entrance Examination Board, Ranchi. The minimum qualification is Intermediate/10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology for all undergraduate degree programmes. However, the candidates with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible for admission into B.Sc. (Ag) and B.Sc. (Forestry). Semester system of education is followed in the University. Each semester consists of approximately 115 working days. The residential requirements for the award of Bachelor’s degree is eight semesters including Rural work Experience in B.Sc. (Ag.) and B.Sc. (Forestry), during the last semester. The residential requirements of B.V.Sc. & A.H. Course is of 10 Semesters. The last Semester consists of 6 month compulsory internship programme.
