The Ranchi University BBA courses start with the submission of the application form. Once the application forms are out, interested students must apply for the course by visiting the Chancellor's Portal's official website. Once the application window is closed, the selection committee inducts students on the basis of their CUET UG/Class 12 scores. The students with admission offers must report to the allocated university/institute and get their documents verified. After successful verification, candidates are required to pay the admission fee as prescribed by the university.

The allocation of BBA seats offered by Ranchi University is subject to the rules of reservation set by the Government of Jharkhand. According to the reservation policy, 50% of seats are distributed purely based on merit. The remaining 50% of the seats are allocated based on categories. Tabulated below is the breakdown as per the Ranchi University BBA seat reservation policy:
