When I applied to GIBS, the application process was actually simple and the admission team guided properly regarding documents. From what I remember, they mainly asked for academic and basic verification documents during admission.

The common documents required were:

• 10th marks card
• 12th marks card
• Graduation marks cards (for MBA/PGDM students)
• Entrance exam scorecard like CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT (for MBA/PGDM)
• Transfer Certificate (TC)
• Migration Certificate
• Passport size photos
• ID proof
• Provisional degree certificate if graduation results are pending

I also remember they asked students to keep scanned copies ready while filling the online application form because most of the process happens online first. The admission team was quite supportive during the process, so it didn't feel confusing.

One thing I genuinely liked about GIBS after joining is the amount of support students get for internships, placements, and skill development. During MBA, these things matter a lot because companies now look at communication, confidence, and practical knowledge along with academics.

At GIBS, students get regular training and activities from the early stages itself, which helps a lot during placements.

Some things I personally noticed here:

• Placement training and aptitude sessions happen regularly
• Mock interviews and presentation activities improve confidence
• Workshops and guest lectures give good corporate exposure
• Internship support is provided for different specializations
• Communication skills and personality development are given importance
• Students get opportunities to participate in events and live projects

One thing I liked is that the environment keeps students active all the time, so slowly you become more confident in speaking, teamwork, and handling presentations.

Being in Bangalore is also a big advantage because students get better exposure to companies and industry events.

Overall, I feel GIBS gives good support to students not only in academics but also in preparing them for corporate life.

• Industry experts and companies regularly visit GIBS to provide guest lectures, workshops, and seminars, and to work with students on projects that are “live.”
• Students learn about what is happening in current business trends, what companies are looking for, and how they conduct business.

• The business school provides internships that allow students to gain real-world experience through internships. 
• Through these internships, students can use what they have learned in the classroom to apply what they have learned; build skills for future employment; and help develop their career.

3. Corporate Interaction Programs

• The school provides opportunities for students to meet with business leaders and other successful individuals through symposiums, panels, and whatever means will allow them to engage with successful professionals.
• Corporate leaders are able to give students insight into what is happening in their industry and will help provide guidance for a successful career.

4. International Exposure

• The business school provides opportunities for students to learn from other countries through relationships with other academic institutions.
• Students will be able to experience other countries' businesses and will be able to learn how to do business with other cultures and examine business practices globally.

5. Practical Application/Learning Outside the Classroom

• Students' use of real-world challenging projects and case studies help students learn how to apply their studies and practice in real-life situations.
• By applying what they are studying, students will develop analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

6. Placement Assistance and Career Development

• Partnerships with Corporate Recruiters and Other Business Partners; An internship program, placement program, a mentorship programme, and a skills development programme.
• Assisting students in gaining the training required for them to become future leaders of the business world.
