Today I want to talk about Quantum University (Roorkee, Uttarakhand) as an option for doing a BBA — why it's good, what to watch out for, and how it compares with other BBA universities.

Strengths of Quantum University (for BBA)

1. Diverse Specialisations

Quantum offers a BBA in many specializations: Digital Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, International Business, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Tourism, Hospital Managem

2. Reasonable Fees (for a Private UniverAccording to Shiksha, the range is ₹2.9 Lacs to ₹5.33 lakh, depending on specialisation or student type. 

So, the cost is not super low, but for a private university with good infrastructure, it's quite fair.

3. Placement Opportunities

Quantum University claims to have 150+ industry partners for placements. 

Some of the big companies that recruit from Quantum include Amazon, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, etc. 

This shows that students might have a good shot at decent internships and jobs — though, of course, it depends on how well you perform and how active you are in the placement cell.

4. Curriculum and Practical Learning

The BBA programme is designed to mix theory and practical exposure — there are live projects, case studies, workshops, internships. 

They also have a summer internship (after 3rd semester) and a final-year project. 

This practical approach helps students apply what they learn in real business scenarios.

5. Student Reviews / Campus Life

According to student reviews, many say the staff is friendly and supportive, and the campus environment is good. 

On the other hand, some reviews mention that infrastructure and faculty could improve for out-of-state students. 

So, it's not perfect, but many students are reasonably happy with their experience.

6. Entrance & Admission

For BBA, Quantum considers 10+2 marks (minimum ~45%) for eligibility. 

They also use their own exam called Q-Care for scholarship and admission. 

This means admission is somewhat flexible, and you can get scholarships via Q-Care.

Review Scores: On some review portals, Quantum BBA gets average to decent marks for placements (student-reported ~₹4-5 LPA) rather than very high packages.

Dependence on Your Performance: To benefit from the good placement ties, you'll have to be proactive — internships, projects, and good academics matter a lot.

Comparison with Some Top BBA Universities in India

To decide whether Quantum is “the best” for you, it helps to compare it with other leading BBA colleges in India:

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS), Delhi — often ranks #1 in BBA lists. 

Christ University, Bangalore — very well-known for its BBA program. 

NMIMS (ASMSOC), Mumbai — a top commerce / BBA-type business mmschool. 

Loyola College, Chennai — also appears in top-BBA rankings.

Compared to these, Quantum University is more of a mid-to-high quality private university choice. It may not have the brand prestige of SSCBS or Christ University, but it offers good value for money, diverse specializations, and strong placement potential if you work hard.

My Verdict (as a Student)

If I were a student who wants a well-rounded BBA (not just theoretical) and am okay with a private university fee, Quantum University is a very good option.

I would go for Quantum if:

1. I want practical experience (internships, projects).

2. I like the idea of a specialised BBA (like Analytics or HR).

3. I want to stay in Uttarakhand or don't mind moving to Roorkee.

4. I plan to aim for good placements, but I'm realistic — I'm not expecting top-tier IIM-brand placement.
