I dont know about BCA but for B.Tech u need maths in 1st and 2nd semester and for further semesters(ie.3,4,5,6,7,8 th) it depends on the engineering u are pursuing .

1) computers in diploma lvl has some lesser value
2) value comes when they complete b.tech
3) it is advisable to complete B.Tech/MCA after dip/BCA
4) B.Tech.cse and MCA equates with each other
