Before starting career in software industry i would like to ask u r u very much confidant on any of the programming language. Can u independently handle any language? If ur ans comes yes then only think for software development line or testing line. Every line is good only depends upon u how much depth knowledge u have. As far as salary is concerned It depends upon u how tactfully and technically u have cleared ur interview not upon the degree or certificate u have with u. My dear Raw materials are very cheep but once it become Finished Product it became Costly. But Finished Products also 2 type one is on the Showroom and One on the Footpath. Which kind of product u would like to be. Showroom products looks costly but sale out more costly. They must have to gone through some quality testing. So only Finished and Tested product comes in the market and get good values. So what r u looking for?

You have two years of academic break. I will suggest that you evaluate MCA to improve your chances of better IT career. Nowadays IT companies hire Ready to Deploy resources(RTD) from Training Institutes. Identify RTD training institute and take training either in Java or testing to seek career in IT industry.
