No, there is no negative marking in the BEET exam giving candidates complete freedom to solve as many questions as they can without the fear of loosing marks in the exam. For each correct answer, candidates will be alloted 1 marks each.

In the BEET exam, the questions will be asked from the below topics -
- English – 10 questions
- Reasoning – 20 questions
- General Awareness – 25 questions
- Environment of Teaching in School – 25 questions
- Subject Awareness - 20 questions
While preparing for the exam, candidates must solve maximum practice questions from General Awarness, Environment of Teaching in School and Subject Awareness to increase their chances of qualification.

No there are no specific books for the same, however, candidates can refer to the common books for teaching entrance exams such as "Teaching Aptitude and General Knowledge" by Arihant Publications, and other specific guides for reasoning and general awareness. For current affairs, daily newspaper reading is highly recommended.
