One of significant institution of nursing education in the region is the College of Nursing Sangli which is a part of Bharati Vidyapeeth., although it is quite popular in Sangli, may not be the best one when compared to other institutes of Maharashtra like AIIMS or CMC Vellore which is on national level. However, it has reasonable repute, good infrastructure, and experienced faculty members for those students who want to take admission in nursing in Sangli. It has a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of nursing hence it is a good contender in the region but not the market leader in entire Maharashtra.
