Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) is classified as a Tier 3 Indian university by Aston University. The MBA programme at TMBU was ranked 490th out of 608 colleges in India in 2023. The Mass Communications programme at TMBU was ranked 58th out of 100 institutions in India that same year by IIRF.

Yes, the applicant must belong to Bihar state or Candidate's parents must be a permanent residence of Bihar state. Candidates belonging to the parents who are permanent registered refugee of Bihar state can also apply. If student's parents belong from different state, but they are government employee of Bihar state are also eligible to apply.

In terms of placements for B.Sc Physics at Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU), the university does not have a strong culture of campus placements. Students often need to explore job opportunities on their own after completing their degrees. While some companies like Technook and Byjus visit for placements, the highest package offered is around INR 2 Lacs per annum, with only about 20% of students being placed.
