Yes, Immunology course is indeed closely related to Biology, but it is more specific and focused on the study of the immune system. While Immunology course encompasses many biological concepts and principles, it is a specialized branch of Biology that deals specifically with the immune system's structure, function, and interactions with pathogens, antigens, and the overall physiology of an organism.

While Immunology course draws heavily from biological principles, they also integrate aspects of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Physiology to provide a comprehensive understanding of the immune system and its functions. There

No you cannot take BSc Microbiology without studying Biology as a core subject. As the syllabus includes - Biology such as Microbial Ecology, Virology, Molecular Biology, Mycology, Cell Biology, Enzyme Technology, and more. Since you don't have the foundational knowledge of Biology in your high school, pursuing a BSc in Microbiology will not only limit your knowledge but also your career prospects.

However, the core subjects covered under this specialisation such as Forensic Medicine, Forensic Anthropology, Forensic Biology, Forensic Dermatoglyphics, etc., contain major elements of Biology and will limit your knowledge and career scope in the disciplines.

Under NEP-2020, students of the B.Sc. Bio group may even opt for subjects of the B.Sc. Maths group, thus allowing inter-disciplinarity in education. The policy allows flexibility where students would be allowed to mix and match subjects across streams. That is, while continuing studies leading to a B.Sc. degree in Biology, a student is also able to take any subjects like Mathematics or Physics from the Maths group in order to provide a personal, holistic academic experience.

This, however, is contingent on the structure of the programme and the availability of subjects within an institution. NEP 2020 breaks stiff boundaries between disc

Yes, you can. Many private colleges offer Computer Science to candidates who are from the PCB stream. However, if such candidates wish to enroll on a Computer Science course in a government college, admission can be tough. The candidates are advised to go through the admission requirements of their desired colleges before applying for Computer Science admission. Also engineering courses could be off limits for students who did not have maths in class 12th.
