The basic difference between both is that Biology is a discipline that covers the study of every living being and Botany is a sub-discipline under Biology that focuses on plants study.
Under Biology, students study about the structure, function, distribution, taxonomy, and evolution of many organisms. Meanwhile, Botany studies about the structure, properties, biochemical processes, classification, and interactions with the environment.

It depends on the college/department you are applying for. If your college/department calculates the score considering the scores in English, you can apply to the college. But, if the scores are mandatory to be taken into consideration while calculating the total score in your desired college. Then, unfortunately, you cannot.

Yes, it is possible to pursue BPharma from TMU even if one didn't study Biology in Class 12. To bridge the knowledge gap between bio and non-bio students, the university has introduced a compulsory course, namely 'Bridge Course'. Under this course, those who have studied PCBZ at Class 12 are offered a Remedial Mathematics course, and students who have studied PCM at Class 12 are offered Remedial Biology course in their first semester.
