There is a lot of promise for employment in biotechnology in India. Innovations in environmental biotechnology, healthcare, and agriculture are propelling the industry's growth. Job prospects are growing as a result of government programs like Made in India and the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC). The placements at DY Patil School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics are good. A total of 56 UG and 89 PG students were placed during the placement drive. The average salary package for offered was INR 6.4 LPA, and the median salary package was INR 4.5 LPA.

Vasta Global, Citius Tech, Bharat Biotech, NutraHelix, NutraHelix Biotech Pvt. Ltd., HiMedia Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., etc., were the top recruiters.
