For Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology course at BIT Mesra, Candidates must have passed Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in Class 12 / Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination with English as a subject. Appearing candidates may also apply, subject to production of marksheet with requisite percentage of marks in Class 12 at the time of Entrance Test and Interview. Selection is done on the basis of performance in entrance test and interview.

The minimum eligibility criteria for Std. XII is 75% or 20 percentile in your state board (for General and OBC) and 65% or 20 percentile in your state board (for SC and ST).

What is the placement status for mathematics and computing department of the college? What about the average package?

The average package in 2017-18 was INR. 7.75 LPA. Companies like Byju's, Crisil, Wipro (Turbo) visited the campus for placements and the package offered went as high as INR. 11.5 LPA.

The eligibility criteria for M.Sc in Mathematics and Computing is: Pass in Class 12th / equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and having at least 60% (50% for SC/ST/PwD) marks in average of 4 subjects - English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics You would be eligible for admission if your date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1994 (for General) and October 1, 1989 (for SC, ST, PWD).
