You need to achieve the required level of English to get into the university in your selected program. However, you do not need to have reached the required level before you apply. The university first looks at your academic qualifications and if you don’t match the English level requirement then you need to take an IELTS academic test. Students can also check, Study in the UK without IELTS in 2023

Undergraduate (Bachelor’s: BA, BEng, BSc, BDS, BVSc, LLB, MArts, MEng, MSci, MBChB)

One of the following: • CBSE or CISCE qualifications, typically 80-90% • A-levels: typically AAA or higher • IB diploma: typically 36 points or higher Other qualifications such as state board and Diploma are accepted; contact us for details

Postgraduate taught (Master’s: MSc, MA, MRes, LLM)

·  First class degree (60% or higher) or first class with distinction from a recognised Indian university ·  55% pass may be accepted from some top colleges

Postgraduate research (PhD)

International students can apply for more than 300 undergraduate courses and 250 postgraduate courses at the University of Bristol. However, the Bristol University takes admissions into its undergraduate programs through UCAS. Whereas, international students applying to postgraduate programs can apply directly through the university’s own admission portal.
