To be able to take the B.E./B.Tech, there must be completion of 10+2, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Selection is done by Andhra Pradesh EAPCET counseling process which is undertaken by JNTU Kakinada and students are admitted to seats on the basis of their ranks. No institute level entrance test. There are two broad criteria in selecting B.Tech in LIET. In 70 percent of the seats (Convener Quota), admission is through *AP EAMCET rank* and 10+2 marks (min. 45% PCM) and state counselling. The rest 30 percent (Management quota) need at least *50 percent in 10+2 (PCM)* and can apply directly into the institute. Through *AP ECET*, a holder of Diploma may be admitted in the second year. It is mandatory to be constantly checked with official college guidelines and Andhra Pradesh EAMCET/ECET guidelines, as they provide current guidelines.
