btech Eligibility

In order to apply for a BTech course, a candidate must have passed your Class 12 (or equivalent) examination with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC, ST, and PwD) from a recognised board, and have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. IIT Roorkee admission 2025 is primarily entrance-based. The candidates are selected through national-level tests conducted by various authorities. IIT Roorkee offers UG and PG degrees in the fields of Engineering, Science, Architecture, Management and Social Sciences.

They should have studied Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics as one of the optional subjects.

A minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC students from Karnataka) in the above subjects is needed.

Entrance Exams:

Admission is mainly through entrance exam marks. Candidates can apply through:

1. KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) – For Karnataka domicile students.

2. COMEDK UGET – For non-Karn

For admission to BTech at NIT Hamirpur, students must pass Class 12 with 75% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with any one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject (for SC/ST, 65% aggregate is required).

Applicants should be class 12 passed in Physics, Chemistry, and Math as main courses with an aggregate of not less than 45%. They shall be mostly given admission through scores in JEE Main. Through lateral entry for the second year, Diploma or B.Sc graduation with 45% marks or more will do.

ICFAI University, Raipur admissions are primarily merit-based. Candidates must also fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements for the respective courses. The basic eligibility for UG courses is Class 12 whereas graduation is required for PG programmes. Further, candidates seeking admission to the BTech programme at ICFAI Raipur must be Class 12 passed or equivalent with at least 45% aggregate with a pass in each of the Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English.

Candidates who have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 60% aggregate are eligible to apply for the KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering BTech programme. Aspirants should have studied in regular full time formal education in their schooling/college. Besides, candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2001.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 (intermediate) or its equivalent examination from a government recognised board with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with at least 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for backward class including Muslim, MBC & DNC/ SC/ ST/ SCA) to apply for AAA College of Engineering and Technology BE and BTech courses. 

To be eligible for the B.Tech programme at the School of Engineering and Technology, Noida International University (NIU), candidates must have

1) minimum of 50% marks in their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination.

Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects.Admission may also require a valid score from entrance exams like JEE Main or NIU's own entrance test

(NSAT).

Candidates must pass Class 12 or equivalent with at least 45% aggregate with pass in each of the Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English to apply for ICFAI University Raipur BTech programme. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

To get admission into BTech courses at IIITM Gwalior, candidates are required to complete the basic eligibility criteria first, followed by secondary eligibility criteria. The basic eligibility criteria require candidates to complete their Class 12 from the PCM stream with a minimum aggregate of 75%. The secondary eligibility criteria contain the valid scores of the JEE Mains entrance exam, followed by JoSAA counselling.
