Andhra University, Visakhapatnam BTech admissions are based on entrance tests. Andhra Pradesh EAMCET/ Andhra Pradesh ECET are the entrance tests that are accepted for BTech at the university.

To apply for BTech admissions at the university, students must have passed Class 12 with 45%. 

Other than this, Andhra University conducts exams such as Andhra Pradesh EdCET, Andhra Pradesh LAWCET, Andhra Pradesh ICET, and Andhra Pradesh PGLCET. 

Yes, you can take admission in M.Tech at BIT Mesra even if you have not studied BTech in graduation. To be eligible for admission, candidates should have passed BE/ BTech/ AMIE / MCA / equivalent degree in the appropriate disciplines / branches with a minimum 55% marks in average (50% for SC/ST).

Fee concessions or scholarship waivers usually comes for high rank holders in Andhra Pradesh EAMCET or JEE Main. Some colleges including GITAM conduct their own scholarship tests for tuition fee concessions for students.

In general, BTech admission in Andhra Pradesh through Andhra Pradesh EAMCET is not open for out-of-state students, because Andhra Pradesh EAMCET is a state-level exam conducted for the students who have studied in Andhra Pradesh. But, BTech out-of-state students can still secure admission in top BTech colleges of Visakhapatnam through some other modes mentioned below like JEE Main, GITAM's own entrance test (GAT) entrance exam and management category seat on the basis of 12th marks.
