Presently in India, no university is allowed to offer any professional course including Engineering via distance education mode. Hence i would like you to check with whomsoever is offering this course to confirm acceptance by UGC for this. Best wishes to you.

Of course you pursue your B.Tech from Cambridge's university or any abroad but you need to keep in mind that you need to be great in the mechanical branch and should have very good marks plus the eligibility criteria be fulfilled by you.

For the admission in KCC, students need to get a minimum of 50% in their 12th boards. They can get admission with or without entrance also.
The general admission procedure of Mechanical Engineering courses require the students to fill in the application forms of any entrance exam that the universities are conducting and then registering themselves before the last date. This exam is perhaps a must for lateral admission. However, some colleges may admit students in the lateral mode under the management quota without this exam. In such cases, no NOC is required from any board. Your diploma certificate is enough. Hi, Unfortunately Tamil Nadu follows Nativity rule quite rigorously. If you have domicile of Tamil Nadu then you can definitely apply.
