Because it is a legally established university, its degrees are valid for all central and state government job applications, as well as for appearing in competitive exams like the UPSC or pursuing a Ph.D. at other recognised institutions in India and abroad.

The primary difference is the focus on practical learning. SSPU follows a "learning by doing" model with a 70% focus on practical application and mandatory yearly internships. Colleges like MIT-WPU and the Indira Institute of Management also offer industry exposure; but they follow a more conventional semester system with a single summer internship.
