Once the AURO University closes the application portal for the MBA course, the admissions committee begins with the selection stage. For allocation of MBA seats, the university first shortlists students based on their performance in the accepted entrance exams. After that, students are required to take part in GD & PI rounds and also submit an SOP. Once the selection stage is completed, the university send out admission offers to students who have performed well in all the rounds.

CMAT is one of the top accepted exams for admission to MBA-offering universities, including AURO University. As per official sources, the CMAT exam was conducted on the 25th of January 2026.

No, AURO University MBA admissions are not merit-based. As per the university's admission policy, candidates who wish to take admission must have appeared for any one of the accepted national-level entrance tests. They are also required to fulfil the eligibility criteria and participate in the selection rounds, including GD & PI processes.

However:
- Attendance is usually important because many universities and AICTE guidelines require a minimum of 75% attendance for eligibility to sit for semester exams.
- If a student does not attend regularly, they may face issues with internal marks, assignments, and eligibility for exams.
So yes, for the MBA regular program, attending college is necessary.

Admission to the University of Madras MBA at Institute of Distance Education is subject to candidates possessing a graduation degree with a minimum 50% marks. Students need to apply online at the official IDE UNOM website. Admission is based on merit, and after fee payment and document verification, it gets confirmed.

Admissions to the MBA course at DY Patil Global Business School are completely entrance-based. The school accepts several entrance examinations for admission to the MBA. The names of the entrance exams are DPU Test/ CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ MH-CET/ AIET. Applicants with valid scores in any of the mentioned entrance exams can enrol for the course. However, before applying for the entrance exam, candidates must complete the minimum eligibility criteria of the course.

MBA Seat Intake at D.Y. Patil GBSRC
Shiksha reports that the MBA programme has a 2-year postgraduate course with a seat intake of 240 seats.
The official D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth intake capacity page also lists the MBA intake as 240.
