Business Management Studies

BBA stands for Bachelor of Business Administration and BMS stands for Bachelor of Management Studies. These two courses are more or less the same and some universities give the name as BBA and some universities give the name as BMS. In India, BMS is a relatively new course, started by Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies and is gaining a lot of traction and popularity. Both these courses are management courses, BMS course concentrates on analytical and logical oriented studies and are more flexible while BBA course concentrates on core studies. Both the graduates of BBA and BMS can take up MBA after completion of the under graduation course or they can even take up management trainee position in a reputed company. Some of the Institutes which offer BMS are: Shiv Nadar University, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, St. Xaviers College etc. Some of the Institutes which offer BBA are: Christ University, Amity University, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies etc.

Bachelor of Business Administration BBA
Bachelor of Business Administration is also known as BBA General or BBA Pass Course, and is an undergraduate management course. The course is spread across 3-4 years, and is divided into a number of semesters. Aspirants willing to pursue BBA can opt for Full-time Graduate course or can pursue the course through Correspondence or Distance Learning. When opting for BBA General, a candidate must note that the course is not subject specific. Apart from the compulsory subjects, students get the advantage of choosing combinations of different subjects these combinations vary depending upon the subjects offered a particular institute. This degree is also popular by the other names like Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS). BBA provides the students a basic understanding of what management is all about. Along with this, students are taught the art of communicating effectively this also prepares them for their entrepreneurial journey. Students get practical trainings in the form of presentations, case studies, visits to industries, and interactions with industry experts. Bachelor of Business Administration (H)
This undergraduate Business management degree course teaches students about the management of business operations. Also, students are taught how they can take a major business decision, use resources efficiently and how to work collectively towards a common business goal. The duration of the course is generally from 3-4 years. Aspirants can choose Full-time or part-time course. Basically both the courses are more or less same. The difference lies is that you can specialise in a certain subject in BBA (H). While as BBA (G) course gives you an overview of all those subjects taught in honour's course. Eligibility for both the courses are same I. e 12th class of any stream whether Science, commerce or arts any board.
