The average package recorded for HR in IIM-Ranchi was around 13.49 LPA. In general, IIM graduates get an average package of 23 LPA. For good packages in MBA HR, you can consider IIM-A, B, C or XLRI-Jamshedpur.

Not many companies look at the graduation scores as a criteria for shortlisting, but there might be a few who would consider the same. Be prepared with an answer for it, also try to score well in post-graduation to cover up a bit. Any B-School which you want to enter will for sure give some weightage to the graduation marks, that weightage entirely varies from college to college.

You can expect a lot of good colleges. Of course, leave aside the IIMs. You can manage to get into a good college. The choices of colleges are really vast. A better thing to do is to create a list of colleges that you are interested in based on course and location preference and then apply to those colleges online. If you have cleared the cut-off set by those colleges, they will definitely call you. Make sure that you do well in the GD/PI session.
