PGDM is a term which is unique to India, probably nowhere in the world one can get an MBA which has some other name, so MHRD is looking to disband the term PGDM. Now, government is thinking that instead of PGDM why not give MBA. Though PGDM teaching methodologies are less of theoretical as compared to MBA. One can learn and explore more in a PGDM course.

For HR, the best institutes are XLRI, TISS, etc. However, even XISS is good for HR but what I would suggest for HR is that apply to those colleges where the placement scenario for HR batch is stable. I am a current student of BIMM and I can say that the placement for HR from our college has set a milestone, even though the batch strength is high, HR students have bagged placements of 14 lacs, 10 lacs, 7.5 lacs etc. From reputed companies. Vedanta, Amazon, Infosys etc. When it comes to Fees and ROI, our college is the best as compared to all other tier 3 B schools as the fee for 2 years is just 8.6 lacs. Being from Bihar, you have many options to do an MBA from so many other universities. Why do you want to apply specifically to Jammu, any specific reasons? If yes, I think you can apply but I don't know about the chances of conversion and if you don't have any specific reason then do apply to other colleges and universities.
