To get admission to California State University Northridge (CSUN) as an international student, follow these steps:

Determine your eligibility: International students at CSUN are defined as those who wish to study on an F-1 (student) visa or J-1 (exchange) visa, are applying for a bachelor's degree program, and have not completed any post-secondary coursework at a college or university.

Gather required documents: For admission, you will need to provide the following documents:

• Official secondary-school certificates and transcripts
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale or an average of "B" grades
• English language proficiency proof, such as IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores.

If your academic records are not written in English, you must have them translated and submit both the original and translated versions.

1. Apply online: Use the CalState Apply application portal to submit your application. Pay the $70 application fee and complete all the required sections.
2. Apply to the academic department: In addition to the university application, you must also apply to your chosen academic department. Make sure to meet both the university and individual department eligibility requirements.
3. Demonstrate financial resources: As an international student, you must prove that you have sufficient financial resources to cover the costs associated with your first year of full-time study. Each CSU campus determines the specific financial requirements, so check with CSUN for the current guidelines.
