Instead of working if possible you should continue and first finish your PG. Getting onto your job after PG would bring better prospects.

Hey Satyam,
Definitely, you will get a seat in UPES. Kindly wait for the counselling and choose from the programmes being offered to you. See you got 4512 rank, right? So, it doesn't mean that all aspirants who has a rank below 4512 will join UPES only, they may have taken different engineering exams and they may have got a chance in other colleges. So, probably you will get a seat, do not worry.

Nowadays, marks in class 12th don't matter if you have done good in your academic year. See, there are two ways of getting a job. First, pursue B.Tech from a good college like IIT, NIT, IIIT, BITS, LPU, Thapar, VIT or SRM and get placed in a good company with good package. As you have mentioned that you are studying in an average college, but you have opted for a g9ood branch. With 2-3 years of work experience, you can surely get a good salary package.

There is huge difference between both. In BA. Programme, you will get 4 arts subject like Hindi, English, Economic etc. in each semester. But, in political science (Hons.), you will get all subjects related to politics. These subjects can be Indian politics, foreign politics etc.
