Hi,
Yes, you are eligible for bank exams because bank exam has only one criteria of completed graduation with any discipline from an authorized university.
IBPS conducts the CWE exam for public sector banks or RRB Banks for the post of clerk, PO, SO.
IBPS doesn't ask for the percentage, they only ask the candidate to be passed in graduation.
Apart than this, if banks conduct their own exam, they ask for a minimum percentage of 60%.

BHMS has a better scope. After the completion of BHMS, you can apply for :
M.D. is Masters Degree Level.
Ph.D is Doctoral Degree Level.
It will be the best to finish both.
However, you should watch ICMR Website for announcement of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)- Rs. 16000/- per month, & Senior Research Fellowship (SRF)- Rs. 24,000/- per month approx, for your PG and PhD. studies respectively. Also, you must not forget to tick yes in the box for "Lectureship also".
You need this lectureship to apply for Assistant Professors & Associate Professors in Govt. Medical colleges.
Your pay packet at end of the first month itself will be about Rs. 4

The standard route to this is not as such reading any specific books at this stage (I'm not discouraging you from reading popular books on cosmology, which you should whenever you can). What you need is a strong background in Physics which translates to a strong undergraduate and graduate (Ph.D) training in Physics.
You can start specialising to Cosmology during 3rd or 4th year of undergraduate by taking courses on General Relativity, Astrophysics and possibly even Cosmology if the course is offered.
