To be a dentist, you must obtain the necessary qualification and clear the licensing examination. Admission to an undergraduate degree is made on the basis of academic merit. As an international student you must also take the IELTS or TOEFL.
Australia has nine Dental schools stated below. Please go through the admission requirements pages of the universities for university specific requirements and admission process.
1. University of Sydney.
2. Charles Sturt University.
3. Griffith University.
4. University of Queensland.
5. James Cook University.
6. University of Adelaide.
7. La Trobe University.
8. University of Melbourne.
9. University of Western Australia.
After completing your Bachelor's degree, you may look for a two-year graduate Diploma of dentistry program or equivalent, which will enable you to apply for registration with the Dental Board of Australia (and equivalent New Zealand authorities). For additional requirements and updates please keep checking the Dental Board of Australia. As of now focus on the application towards a Bachelor's degree.
