Generally, a psychiatrist is not trained to perform surgery, as their specialisation is focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health disorders through psychotherapy, medication, and other non-surgical interventions. 

Psychiatrists are medical doctors who undergo postgraduate training in psychiatry after completing an MBBS degree, but their expertise does not extend to performing surgeries.
