Yes, it is a good decision, if you don't want to target the teaching sector. I am doing my MBA from Doon Business School, Dehradun after B.Tech. And, I feel the college faculty here are experienced enough to mold you.

Yes, Arun Sharma is a good book for CAT preparation. You need not required to solve all the questions. You can skip the difficult level questions. Basic ones are good for practicing. Along with solving the book questions, one should keep writing mock tests.

Yes, you can score well in CAT just keep practicing hard on maths/Quant part. Keep practicing with mock tests which will familiarized you with real CAT exam. Also keep practicing on time allotment for questions. 2 years is enough time for preparing well for CAT.

PGDM from Welingkar is much great than at Nirma. It gives a widespread exposure to all the areas from curriculum to extra activities. It helps in overall personality development ready to step in business world. PGDM have different courses and you can take whichever interests you. But cutoffs and markings play a very important role since generally cut offs are high. But once you enter college. You will have a wonderful two years of life.

The cut-off marks varies according to the reservation applicable to you. If you belong to general category, then its cut-off is 98 percentile normally. But, it varies from year to year. Please check the cut-off.
