CAT score is valid for only 1 year. Getting good score in CAT is a gateway to lots of reputed institutes, however it is important to note that getting good score in CAT and after that getting into a good B-school does not always guarantee a successful/superior career. The entrance exam conducted for NIFT admissions consists of two papers NIFT CAT and NIFT GAT. Both the exams take place on the same day. Never, one will not get even call in this score, besides having everything excellent.

If you check history them you will find that history is made by poor or average kids so don't underestimate yourself by feeling that you are an average student. All AIMS need is only hard work to get it. You should have motivation, dedication, desperation of getting your goal, you might not get in one go, but if you have decided to get it then you will achieve it later or sooner.
Always remember that everyone is not born with a silver spoon, but everyone is blessed with keys of hard work and dedication which can turn the table for you always.

CAT exam is conducted, generally, in the last week of November or first Sunday of December. For IIMs and top B-Schools, you need to start studying at least 8 months before the exam date.
