CAT 80-90 percentile range

MBA colleges accepting CAT cut offs 80 to 90 percentile – Admission to 2026 batch of full-time MBA programmes are still open at various B-Schools. If you have missed the IIMs due to low CAT score, you should not give up. You can get a good MBA college even if you have scored between 80 to 90 percentile. A large number of MBA colleges, private as well as government, accept CAT score in the range of 80 to 90 percentile. 

Admission process of these colleges also include Group Discussion (GD), Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI); so hard work is still needed.

If you have less than 90 percentile in CAT, you have the option of dropping this year and prepare for CAT 2026. We would, however, like to tell you that there is no need to worry as with 80+ percentile, they can get a good MBA college. Many well reputed B-Schools have CAT cut offs in the range of 80-90 percentile. Admissions are currently open in many of them.

The actual required CAT percentile is only visible for candidates with login access. But, based on previous years' estimated CAT cutoff for the General AI category, 90 percentile would be required overall and 50 percentile sectionally for the previously-mentioned category.

 IIT Kharagpur CAT cutoff 2025 is not released publicly. It is only visible to candidates with login details. But, based on the the closest estimated cutoff percentile of previous years for the General AI category, the CAT cutoff percentile was 90 overall and 50 sectional.

Yes, CAT books can be used for Alliance AMAT exam preparation as both are MBA entrance exams. Candidates can use same books for preparing for topics such as Quantitative Aptitude and General English. However, the difficulty level of Alliance AMAT exam is much easier as compared to that of CAT exam.

Yes, students can get admission in Netaji Subhas University MBA without CAT. The university also accepts scores of other national-level management exams, such as MAT/ XAT, etc. Hence, CAT is not mandatory for NSU MBA admission.
