CAT is an exam where your basics need to be strong. They will ask you questions anyhow by combining two topics together or putting up a single topic example in a unique and different way.
The main topics that a student should prepare would be time distance, time speed, probability, ages, dice, ratio and proportions, etc., from Quants.
Verbal is considered to be the most difficult area in CAT exam as you need to have a strong hold on English language i.e you must be having a very good vocabulary, grammar should be perfect, etc.
For Reasoning, your focus should be on matrix puzzles, coding-decoding, sequential output, etc.

Yes sure, if you want you can definitely clear the bank PO exams as the syllabus for the bank exam is most similar to the CAT, or MAT exams. You need not to go through the different subjects.
The IBPS PO recruitment exam consists five sections that are English, reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, general awareness and computer knowledge.
You can apply for the bank PO exam. The difficulty level of the bank PO exam is almost similar to the CAT, MAT exams.
Make a solid study plan and follow it strictly.
So tighten your shoe and start to practice from now, you will crack the exam. Be confident and keep practicing.
All the best.

From my personal experience, I would say coaching classes can provide you only 20% of your marks, the rest you get is through self-study.
So, classes don't make much of a difference. Still, you can consider going for online Career Launcher classes. Enrolling courses helps to save you time and are much productive as compared to offline classes.
Personalised teaching which you get from these online coaching classes helps you understand "fundamental concepts" in a much more holistic manner.
Also, CAT is an exam of aptitude and not really the test of how much you know. Every question has a certain way to solve to save time so just try to se

The candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC, ST and PWD/DA category).
Percentage obtained in Bachelors degree would be calculated on the basis of practice followed by the concerned university/institution. In case of grades/CGPA, the conversion would be based on the process defined by the concerned university/ institution.
In absence of any percentage conversion scheme, candidates CGPA will be divided by maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the result with 100.

Hello Aadarsh,
To decide that whether MBA is good without appearing for CAT exam or not, first you will have to list down the colleges you want to get admission into.
CAT is not an easy nut. And once you are done finalizing with the college of your choice, you will have to find out what examination percentile they ask for or prefer.
According to that, you will have to decide whether you will have to give CAT or not.
As far as my opinion is concerned, I would suggest you to appear for CAT, since it is accepted in almost every college for admission.
Think well.Then make a decision.
Good luck!

Common Admission Test (CAT) is taken up by hundreds of thousands of aspirants every year. It has become a common assumption that engineers have an advantage over non-engineers appearing for this test as they have a better understanding of mathematical concepts.
The applicants from the non-engineering backgrounds need not be discouraged. There is a way potential out of every problem. If the CAT was designed only for engineers, why would there be any test conducted for non-engineers?
Some problems faced by non-engineering students are: The common problem lies in quantitative aptitude. Engineers have an advantage in maths and this field. No

Anyone who prefers MAT over CAT may lack the proper knowledge. CAT is one of the toughest entrance exams in India. The papers are set by IIMs and the preparation for CAT can give nightmares but it is worth it, as a beautiful career can be shaped out of it.
Taking nothing away from MAT, but MAT is comparably easier than CAT.
