CAT is widely accepted, I recommended you to opt for GMAT and CMAT so that you can apply to all great colleges in Delhi like IMI, IIFT, FMS, Lal Bahadur Shastri, etc.

The CAT exam was held on December 4th, 2016. But, if you are passionate about doing MBA, then you can invest a year for preparation and appear for CAT 2017.

The scores and percentile differs on the basis of categories:
1. General: 100 (Maximum), 96(Minimum).
2. OBC: 100 (Maximum), 88 (Minimum).
3. SC: 100 (Maximum), 60 to 65 (Minimum).
4. ST: 100 (Maximum), 45 to 60 (Minimum).

You can start preparing now with basic concepts of mathematics and make it strong. Try as many problems as possible for topics like ratio, proportion, series and algebra. You can refer books like:
1. Pearson.
2. Tata McGraw Hill.
3. Arun Sharma.
Verbal needs more of practice and concentration, and so is DI/LR.
You can join a coaching institute for CAT preparation. As they have a prepared curriculum with weekly tests to evaluate individuals performance.

You need to clear CAT exam with good percentile. You can start preparation by practicing quant questions, verbal, data interpretation and logical reasoning. You can refer books published by Arihant, TMGH and Pearson.

The expected cutoff varies every year. Last year it was 76 percentile in CAT for PGDM IB. IIMs will call you for WAT/PI based on your score. For others (Private/ autonomous colleges) you need to fill the application forms, which accept scores of these colleges. Depending on your score and profile these colleges will call you for WAT /PI or GD/PI.
