There are many pros and cons of studying through distance or in SOL. You have to keep a number of factors in mind while deciding. Though distance education degrees are increasingly recognized all over and you can study anytime - anywhere, also saves a lot of money, working while studying there still exist a question on its credibility and recognition amongst employers and further education particularly in India. Admission in IIMs /FMS / IIT depends a lot on the score you achieve at CAT. The institutes mentioned by you are among the top ranked ones and to seek admission in any of them, you should air for scoring at least 98+ percentile score at CAT and also, do well at the Personal Interview for seeking admission.

The cutoff for the institution is not this. Moreover, CAT is not the only criteria that they look at.

Yes, you can go for B.Tech if you are in science stream
and get good score in 12th and entrance exam so that you get admission in good colleges.

After 12th, you can go for B.COM+CA, B.COM and then MBA provided you do it from a good college(B.COM+MBA), BBA and then MBA provided, you do it from a good college (BBA+MBA).
You can also go for B.COM+ CS, CMA
And, if you are Interested in Law, then law related courses like give CLAT exam this year CLAT. Exam is done. So, try for the next year CLAT to get admission in top national law universities.
