CBSE Board Exam Dress Code
The dress code for students attending CBSE 10th Exam/CBSE 12th Exam is as follows:

For Regular Students: Students attending from schools are required to wear their school uniform. 
For Private Students: Private candidates should wear light clothes. It is advisable to choose comfortable attire, as students may need to spend several hours in exam hall.

Permitted Items for CBSE Board Exam

• CBSE 10th Admit Card/ CBSE 12th Admit Card & School Identity Card (For Regular Students)
• Regular students must carry their admit card and school identity card for verification at centre.
• CBSE Admit Card & Any Government-Issued Photo Identity Proof (For Private Students)
• Private students must bring their admit card along with any government-issued photo ID, such as a voter ID, Aadhar card, or passport, for identity verification.
• Stationery Items
• Students can carry essential stationery in a transparent pouch.
• A simple analogue watch is allowed. Digital watches, smartwatches, or any other electronic devices are not permitted.
• Students can carry a transparent water bottle for hydration.
• Students are allowed to bring a MetroCard, bus pass, or money for convenience.

Barred Items for CBSE Exam 

• Stationery and Electronic Devices
• Textual material, whether printed or written
• Pen drives, calculators, log tables (log tables will be provided by the exam centres)
• Electronic pens, scanners, etc.
• Communication Devices
• Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, smartwatches, cameras, etc
• Wallets, goggles, handbags, and pouches are not allowed.
• Any edible items (except for diabetic students who are permitted to carry food for medical reasons).
• Any items that could be used for unfair means, such as unauthorised notes or gadgets, will lead to punishment under “Unfair Means” category.

• Stationery: Textual material (printed or written), calculator, pen drives, log table, electronic pen, scanne
• Communication devices: Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphone, health bands, smart watches, cameras, etc.
• Other banned items: Wallets, goggles, handbags, pouches, food items (except for diabetic students), or any other items that could be used for unfair means.
• It is crucial for students to adhere to these rules as any violation may lead to disqualification from the exam.

Penalties for Unfair Means and Violations

CBSE has outlined a detailed list of unfair means under various categories, including cheating, possession of unauthorized items, and involvement in malpractices during the exam. The penalties for these actions are stringent and may include:

• Cancellation of exams for the current year and the next
• Debarment from future exams in some cases
• Immediate disqualification if found indulging in cheating or using unfair means

Yes, you can take CBSE Class 12 exams as a private candidate even if you had to leave school mid session. CBSE allow students who have not been able to continue their studies through regular schooling to register as private candidates under the B.Tech in the field. This option is available for those who faced various circumstances that hindered their ability to complete their education in a traditional setting. To proceed you will need to fill out the application form for private candidates. The application usually requires you to provide relevant documentation and pay the necessary fees. It is advisable to check the official website of CBSE for specific registration dates and detailed guidelines on the Application process for private candidates.

• Students can download their CBSE result 2026 by logging into the DigiLocker website or mobile application.
• Students will get credentials for DigiLocker accounts on the phone via SMS.
• Enter your details in the app to check CBSE Board 10th result 2026 online

An extra layer of security has been introduced for downloading mark sheets from DigiLocker.

To get the marksheets from DigiLocker, students can visit the website — cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in/activatecbse for initiation of their account confirmation process. Students must note that they will need a PIN to download their marksheet from the app. How do you get it? To strengthen the security and privacy of the students data, the PIN has been introduced.

To confirm the DigiLocker account, students will first have to select their class first either class 10 or 12 and then enter their school code, and roll number. Further, they access the six-digit security PIN from their schools. The PIN will be provided by their school, if not received, students will have to contact their school. The PIN will be a numeric value. Example: If pin number given by school is '012345', students will have to enter only 012345.
