Writing a wrong roll number on your CBSE Hindi exam answer sheet can lead to several issues:
- Identification issues
- Scoring issues
- Administrative complications.
What you have to do in this condition:
- As soon as you realize the mistake, inform the exam invigilator. They may provide guidance on how to correct it.
- Stay Calm: Since this type of mistake is minor, it's unlikely to impact your results.
CBSE examiners are aware that students can make small errors, and these are typically accounted for during the evaluation process.

Some mistakes are minor, such as if in your application for JEE Mains 2024, you filled in "CBSE-i" instead of "CBSE". However, you should definitely correct it, and check if this can be done through the JEE Main portal. In case there is no such facility, try contacting the helpdesk team of JEE Main without delay. During document verification, one can explain the mistake with the true certificates. The fast action will ensure that really minor problems can also be avoided or even resolved before the problem arises in the exam or counseling.

Here's what I think you should consider:
- If your aggregate percentage in the 5 main subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English + one additional subject) is at least 75%, you won't need an improvement in all 5.
- If your percentage is below 75% in the core 5 subjects, you may need to make an improvement in the required s

You may not receive the CBSE improvement examination result in time for JoSAA counselling, since improvement examinations by CBSE usually get their result after two-three weeks from conducting the improvement exam and counseling rounds for JoSAA starts at the earliest two-three weeks of announcement of results for JEE Main.

If you fail in one subject like Math out of the six subjects in your CBSE board exam, then that may affect your eligibility to give the CUET or CUCET. In fact, eligibility criteria for both CUET and CUCET are different and for undergraduate courses, they require all candidates to pass in all the subjects in Class 12.

In order to change your surname to an initial after you complete your CBSE 12th, you would have to get your name rectified in the official documents before you participate in counseling in JoSAA. First, contact your respective CBSE regional office to request a name change for your Class 12 mark sheet.

Yes, NITs will accept your improved score only if you have only 73% in your 12th borad. You are adviced to appear for improvement exams only if you are from general category as the minimum requirement to appear for JEE is 75% for general. But if you are from other category such as SC/ST, you need not to appear for improvement exam as you're already eligible for JEE. So the answer of your question is yes, the NITs will consider your improved score only and you're adviced to appear for improvement exam only if you're from general category.
